The dim headlights suddenly became dangerous when driving at night because you can't see 50ft in front of you with the lights on dim. The drivers side sun visor squeaked when the car was new and when the car was out of warranty the internal clip on the visor broke.

Headlights are useless on low beam. It's like driving with flashlights taped to the car. Driving at night is very dangerous. A search on internet reveals pages of Nissan Altima owners with the same complaint. Why is Nissan not doing anything about this very dangerous defect?

There is a known issue with the 2013-2015 headlights becoming so dim the vehicle isn't safe to drive in low light conditions. Through a lot of research and money of replacing bulbs and time pulling the headlights apart it's apparent the reflective material in the low beam headlights is burnt off or oxidized preventing the headlight from functioning properly allowing the driver to operate the vehicle safely in any driv ing conditions at all. Nissan has not recalled these faulty headlights and refuses to correct this unsafe issue.

My headlights are extremely dim when driving at night. I replaced the halogen bulbs, and it did not fix the problem. I also tried to switch to led bulbs, but that did not fix it either. On highways, it's hard to see street signs and on multi-lane freeways, the lane markers are harder to see because I'm going at a faster speed. On top of that, I cannot see further ahead on any road and oncoming car's headlights that are brighter than mine make the problem even worse. I need this problem fixed.

The low beam on my Nissan Altima is extremely dim. Is so dangerous to drive at night. My friend got an accident last night because of this issue. I have to use the hight beam when I'm driving at night, this is also another safety issue which affects the the other drives but we have to, otherwise we could hit somebody.

I own a 2014 Nissan Altima, over the time of ownership I have noticed the headlights getting dimmer and dimmer, I assumed it was the bulbs aging and replaced this on 02/15/2020. The new bulbs (silvania silverstars) were supposed to be brighter. There were not much brighter. Later when I went to the dealership they suggested new headlight assemballies as the chrome painting on the insides of the lenses has faded and as a result is not reflecting much light onto the road. The estimated cost of this repair was 800$. I have never owned a car where the headlights have failed in this matter and as a student it is unacceptable and dangerous to have low beams that are so dim they do not even appear to be on at night. Googling this issues shows many forums where people are complaining about the same issue I was having with new headlight assemblies fixing the issue

I have been having trouble with my headlights. They are extremely too dim. I can barely see at night. My bright lights work great. Sometimes I feel as if they are not on. I have changed the bulbs several times. It is much dimmer on the driver side than the passenger, but the passenger side headlight is still dim. This is a safety issue. I'm not sure what to do now. I'm not sure why this has not been recalled by now. Someone will most definitely get into an accident. I have almost wrecked several times because of this. This need to be a main concern for Nissan. They are risking our lives. How many bulbs do I have to change? on dark roads I have to put my bright lights on but when another vehicle is coming then I have to cut my bright lights off. When I do this then I feel as if I'm going to go off the road. I cannot see at all. This is a very important problem and need to be addressed immediately. I'm pretty sure that there has been accidents because of this. I had to put a date on this but this has been going on since last year. I'm a nurse and I have to leave early in the am for work on a dark road. This is extremely dangerous.

The driver side low beam headlight is significantly dimmer than the passenger side one. I have changed multiple bulbs and none can fix the dimness being experienced. I suspect this issue has something to do with the housing and I know other owners of the same model that have the exact same problem. Ps, I'm not the first owner of the car and I've seen this issue since purchase. So I'll set the date to today's date.

We purchased a Nissan Altima sv, the headlights have progressively gotten so dim that at night, in rain, snow etc. They provide no adequate light to light the roadway in front of the car. We have to resort to turning on our high beam almost continuously to see the road and obstacles. What we have found out is that it is a defect in materials and it will cost me approximately $1000 to fix, which I cannot afford. At this time Nissan is silent on the issue. I feel like the lives of my family and others on the roads are endangered by these defective lights that Nissan refuses to address. I have had the bulbs changed and it does not improve the head light quality.
