The local dealer was contacted but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the passenger's side lower control arm had fractured and the driver's side control arm was corroded. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 149,000.
