cloth seat covering falling apart cloth seat covering falling apart cloth seat covering falling apart

I purchased a Red 2015 Nissan Altima VIN # 1N4AL3APXFC176706 in July 2015. It is 28 months old and yesterday the cloth front seats began to rip because they have dry rotted. This vehicle has been parked inside a garage over 75 % of the time, unless it was being used to commute to work and/or school. The vehicle only has 29,000 miles on it. There is no reason why these two front seats should be ripping and rotting. No overweight person has sat in the drivers seat or the front passenger seat. Of course there are no recalls from Nissan regarding this, but there are numerous complaints that can be found regarding the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Altimas having the same problems.

This should be covered under warranty.

So my seat cloth was disconnecting from the seat frame the same time my brake pedal cover would come off. It was super annoying, but it didn't seem important to Nissan when you're on I-95 driving in Connecticut and New York....My dealer said they couldn't duplicate the issue! It's funny because you could see the yellow foam underneath the seat. I went to other dealers and had guys trying to help me connect the seat back to the frame. Thanks sales guy at Harte Nissan in West Haven at least you tried.

I went to my dealer, they later replaced the seat cloth, and told me verbally that it was a manufacturer issue, they didn't install it properly at the factory...NO SH*T DUH!
