The Nissan App is worthless, I tried to use it and even when I switched phones the problem continued so its not just my phone that was having the problem. I used the Nissan apps to connect to my phone via Bluetooth to stream Pandora. It worked maybe 40% of the time, the Pandora app would fail to launch saying it could not establish a connection to the Nissan apps on the phone. During this time I was able to make a call over Bluetooth from my phone so it was clearly the app not connecting properly. I tried to uninstall the Nissan App from my phone, clear cache and reinstall... still clunky and worthless. I've since stopped bothering with the Nissan Apps this stereo/Bluetooth is shady at best to begin with I don't want to complicate it trying to make built in apps work as intended.

The Nissan Apps that connect you with Pandora only works maybe 25% of the time, it normally says that there is an error, all while I can still stream music and make phone calls using bluetooth.

The car was in three times for the USB update. After the third visit Nissan agreed to replace the radio. After 2 weeks I was told that it would be another 4 weeks before I would get a new radio. They were on back order.
There were also 2 other problems with the radio. The Bluetooth periodically would not work. It would dial and there was no sound . The other issue was with the satellite radio not working after I changed the station. You would see the station name, then a no signal message. At first I thought it was the signal, so I had XM Sitiys resend the signal. When I put the radio on the preview channel, there was no sound.
I was so frustrated with the 3 Altimas that I had purchased that I wanted to get out of my Altima. I went to Toyota and found that Nissans take a bigger hit in values than their competitors on a trade. The only one willing to give you money was Nissan on a trade. So, now I am the owner of a 2015 Nissan Rogue SL. I went online and they got a B+ rating. I am hoping that I have no issues and can keep it for a few years. My Last Altima had to have all the fuel injectors replaced after 3,weeks of ownership.
I would not recommend a Nissan Altima to anyone until they work the kinks out. They should have done this before releasing the 2013. The same issues are still in the 2015 with a few more added.
