When using the Voice Recognition for texting or calling the system doesn't recognize 99 percent of my words. I only get three trials before it starts all over again. It would be nice is i could have a number for the system to recognize or a touch screen. I still have to use my cell and that's not why I brought this car. If I would of known, I would of brought a different name brand and spent the same amount of money with a better system.

I purchased my Altima brand new in August 2014. After about a month, I noticed that the voice recognition system could not make out the names I wanted it to call, so it started listing four or five numbered options at a time. I didn't really mind this additional step because it would always dial the correct person after I stated his or her corresponding number on the list. Now that I'm approaching 9,000 miles, the system will accurately repeat the name that I want it to call, but it will dial the wrong person! While I can fumble with the phonebook and choose from the missed call and recent call options, extra steps are being added to what used to be a two-step process.
Since I'm due for another oil change, I will mention this glitch to the dealership upon arrival.
Will report back later.
UPDATE
Went to the dealership on 2/23. My salesman witnessed the problem and had me record the names that were being misdialed. Now the system recognizes those names clearly.
