Altima 2.5 S 2.5L-Liter

trunk under the cover sealing all melted burn rubber

This is a unique issue. I lift up the hardboard to check the Tire found there is a off-white sealant all over. complain to sales person at the time of purchase but told it is normal. Less than a month at 800 miles I happened to be in the Trunk putting something found all this off-white sealant is melted and caused the Rubber Mat Melted that was under the Carpet. Nissan Dealer suggest Body Shop will get involved and I am thinking cutting TRUNK means lowering my car value significantly. Any thoughts ???
