My car has completely shut down while driving on the freeway 3 times within the last 30 days. Nissan says they have fixed it but it continues to have the same problem. They replaced the power steering harness, that did not fix the problem. They replaced the electrical harness, that did not fix the problem. It is still in the Nissan shop. They called me today, saying the problem occurred multiple times since it has been back in the shop, and the problem is getting worse and occuring more often, but they do not know what is causing the problem. Why do the "experts" not know what is wrong with my car? Two of the three this "shut down" occurred, I was on the freeway and barely got to the side of the road. the Highway Patrol office and I both were nearly run over by a passing car because I was caught in such a dangerous position on the side of the freeway. The car also shut down in front of my office, when the tow truck driver was trying to get it off the truck, and when I was driving to a Company meeting, and I was just lucky I was off the freeway. I feel that my life is in danger while driving this car and I have told Nissan to fix it or I am not getting back into to drive anywhere, and my husband of 40 years is also not ready to be a widower. Can any one solve this problem, or has anyone had this problem with their 2011 Nissan Altima Hybrid?
