When driving the ABS light comes on then when you press the breaks they grind then goes to the floor.

Nissan Armada brake issue for 2004-2006 model year. Nissan usa is not acknowledging Armada has issue with the brake system. While driving approximately 10-15 mph, I applied pressure to the brake pedal and the brake pedal fell to the floor. I heard a grinding noise coming from the brakes. I contacted Nissan and they had me do a diagnostic at the dealer. Nissan is still not doing anything to repair the brake.

Brake issue in 2004 Nissan Armada. Brake in my vehicle came to less than 10% and with a 6000 pound vehicle with no brakes, I am prone to get into an accident. I have complained this issue to Nissan file number 7181591 on 06/01/2011. They are not doing anything until there are enough complains to resolve the brake issue. ABS system on my 2004 Nissan Armada disengages while driving. Leaving the driver with only the emergency brake. It appears to be a problem with thousands of Armadas. ABS re-engages after you shut down the motor and re-start the vehicle. It is my understanding the problem is due to a faulty ABS sensor.

Sometimes brakes make grinding noise, shutter through steering wheel, and massive front end vibration. During this time the brakes don't work very well. Restarting car will alleviate problem. Had a computer module changed but problem continues. Brake light comes on. There are many many complaint about the same problem! it is very unsafe!

I own a 2004 Nissan Armada. We bought this vehicle brand new in 2005 from the dealer. For aprx. 3 years now every couple of months the ABS brake light comes on and the brake pedal get very hard, it makes it very difficult to brake. We found it that we can reset it back to normal by stopping, turning off the engine, waiting a minute and restarting the engine. When I took it to the dealer to get checked, they told me that nothing was wrong with the engine or brakes. Since they couldn't get the problem to occur in front of them, they said that there's nothing they can do. I expressed my concerns about being a safety issue, they told be to take the vehicle without turning it off whenever this happens, I explained that I will not put my family in danger, driving with a hard to brake vehicle, they said then just to turn off the vehicle and reset it and the problem will go away. This problem happens maybe about every 3 months for apx the past 3 years. Fortunately we haven't got into and accident but this a concern to me. Up to now I didn't know who to report it to, but after watching resent reports about another veh company on tv, I decided to notify you.

About once a month my brakes go out for no apparent reason. The dealer doesn't know what's wrong and through research online I am not the only one having this problem. It's only a matter of time before they go out when I really need them. The dealer re-did my computer but the problem happened again after this supposed fix.

The first incident happened twice just prior to July 1st, again on July 4th, and the last incident was July 12th, 2009. After the first 3 incidents once I turned off the vehicle it went back to normal and the dashboard lights went off. However, on July 12th, while driving on the highway, the dash board lights for the breaks and ABS system all lit up. There was vibration and then the back brakes made this horrible sound like metal hitting metal. I turned the vehicle off and the problem didn't correct and the brake was not engaging properly. I took the vehicle back to the dealership where I bought the car only to find out that they were no longer a Nissan dealer. I took it to the mechanic I use for my other vehicle and he put my Nissan Armada 2004 pathfinder on the lift and checked the brakes. The brakes were in good condition but he said the ABS system would have to be checked by a Nissan dealership. I only have 28,815 mile on my vehicle and the downey Nissan dealership told me that they would update the ABS computer system but that the vehicle needed a new brake booster because there was an electrical problem in the brake booster and it would need to be replaced. I googled the Nissan brake booster problems and found that this has been happening to many Nissan Armada and could not find a recall. I am afraid to drive my vehicle because of the possibility of crashing if the brake fails to engage or worse. The dealer asked Nissan to honor "in good faith" the warranty because my car was in very good condition and hd only at 28,815 miles less than the 36,000 mile warranty albeit past 3 years. Nissan refused.

Once every 2 to 3 weeks, I hit the brakes in my 2004 Nissan pathfinder Armada and it makes a horrible grinding noise and nothing happens, the vehicle doesn't stop. The emergency brake light comes on. I was told by a friend that repairs Nissan for the employees at the Nissan canton plant that this was a common occurrence for that model vehicle and it was a sensor that was bad. He said they have replaced numerous sensors on employees vehicles. I'm wondering why there was never a recall. Apparently, they have improved things since the initial Armada was created, but that doesn't get my vehicle fixed. I have 3 children and someone is going to get hurt one day. I am a single parent and can't afford the repair. I have taken it to the shop numerous times, but apparently when the vehicle is cut off, the sensor resets and the vehicle won't mess up for my repair person. I can't afford to take it to a dealership for them to investigate the problem. Also, my main window switch will not roll up my windows. My rear hatch will not unlock. My main switch will not unlock all of my doors.
