1) 130lb female adult sitting properly in the right front passenger seat is unable to engage the airbag system. No matter the seating position, e.g. upright, slouching or otherwise, the indicator light shows system is disabled. 2) vehicle was taken to local Nissan dealer who was unable to diagnose a solution, suggesting that a greater weight was necessary to engage the airbag. 3) comparable vehicles, and Nissan documentation show that weights under 60 lbs should disable the airbag feature. Nissan is deficient and negligent in allowing this vehicle to be operating with a known serious defect.
