We have had the brakes lock up several times. One time we were sitting at a gas station while my husband went in to pay, I turned the vehicle around to pick him up, and the brakes just locked up.

A very serious Armada problem. This is my 2nd Armada and have had the same brake lock-up on both my 2004 and 2005 model. While the problem is intermittent and has not been duplicated in the shop, it is never the less very dangerous as control of the car is compromised. As mentioned, if the car is turned off and then back on again, the problem disappears but sliding to a stop on a gravel road, or ice and snow just so the ignition can be cycled on to off to on again is very disconcerting. There must be some repair history on this problem in Nissan's archives. Please advise immediately.

This could be a big problem in the rain or snow. Just out of nowhere my brakes lock up and the brake pedal shakes and vibrates. I have not made it to dealer yet . I'm still trying to get carmax to repair my 2 ND radiator

We have had this problem many times since the Armada was new. It happens very infrequently and goes away after cycling the key off. The dealer can not duplicate or find the problem. We took it there once while it was occurring (very dangerous just driving it there) as soon as they plugged their scan tool in the problem went away. They did charge us $200.00 for an alleged software update to the brakes but the problem is still there. It even happen once while pulling my boat. If it ever happens in the rain at highway speed I'm sure it will result in an accident. The brakes completely lock up the wheels on a very light pedal application with absolutely no warning.

The right driver's brakes are smoking and turning fire red. I took to dealer and they could not recreate problem. The dealer stated they checked brake caliber and master cylinder and there was no problem. Tonight 8/29/31 I was coming from football game and brakes were smoking and was very hot. I am not sure if electrical fire but this is not safe. I think this will eventually catch on fire and someone will get killed.
