For several years now since I received this car from a family member gas gauge has been not working I contacted Nissan they said my year or VIN number was it affected but that's not accurate because it is so what can I

We bought this car used. The fuel gauge does not work once it gets down to 1/4 of the tank left. I was driving my car on a city street when all of the sudden my car just turned off. Luckily I was able to slowly steer over to the side of the road. I had no idea what was going on because my fuel gauge said I still had 1/4 tank left of gas. This could've been far more dangerous if I would've run out of gas on a freeway or highway. There was a recall for this year and model for the fuel gauge inaccuracy, but when I called they said my VIN didn't match the recall.

The fuel gage gets to one quarter and it starts to be inaccurate and will run out of gas showing one quarter tank. The fuel gage will not work right until you have over three quarters in. I got so low on fuel the light was on three days ago. I put a few gallons in when I got to town it shower there was 1/8 of a tank by the time I got home it was showing a little over 1/4 were it was when it ran out of gas 1 1/2 years ago. The next morning I had to go to town and it showed I had almost half a tank by the time I got there. I've put about 7 gallons in it and the fuel gage is at the same place. When I filled the tank up the fuel gage started working probably. I've looked and there is a recall on the fuel sending unit on some Nissan Armada already but this one isn't on the list

Fuel reads at around 1/4 even when empty. Not knowing it needed fuel, the car ran out of gas, stranding the car in the middle of the street. Vehicle was going N motion at 35 mph, vehicle was guided to less crowded side street and stalled. Vehicle was pushed to an open space.

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that the fuel gauge failed to display the proper fuel level. If the fuel level was below a quarter of a tank, the vehicle would shut off. Rock hill Nissan (550 galleria blvd, rock hill, SC 29730, (803) 818-2713) was notified and stated that the VIN was excluded from NHTSA campaign number: 10V074000 (fuel system, other). The dealer stated that further diagnostic testing was needed. The manufacturer was notified and confirmed that the vehicle was excluded from the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 180,000.

Fuel gauge reads inaccurately, showing a fuel level even when empty. A recall was issued in 2010 for other 2005 Armada models. A call to Nissan (case#32522656) showed that over 340,000 vehicles were recalled by the NHTSA (campaign #10V074000), but my VIN was excluded from this campaign. As noted in the other recall by the NHTSA, this could result in unexpectedly running out of fuel, disabling the vehicle.

I was driving on the highway on my way to work when my car suddenly started to stall (in the middle of the highway). I ran out of gas with what my gage said was a little over a quarter of a tank left. There was no gas light on. Once someone was able to bring me gas, my car started back up. I looked up recalls on this model, and even though my VIN is "not effected", I believe it is part of this recall. (NHTSA campaign number 10V074000)

My gas gauge has been stuck on 1/4 of a tank since Thursday I crunk up my car this morning, it was finei went back in my car was cut off so my neighbor went and got a gallon of gas poured it in my gas tank in my car crunk back up. Then I went and put $15 in my tank am I gas hand never movedso I checked online and I seen many things that was talking about recalls so I'll call the one 800 number and they told me that my car did not have a recall for the fuel sending unit and I know that's what's wrong with my car and I do not have the money to fix that nor do I have the money to get my car diagnosed at a Nissan dealership what do I need to do because I know my VIN number should have been on the recall list and I refuse to pay for something that should be able to be fixed I see where a lot of people had this problem as well

My Armada ran out of gas after having picked up my daughter from school on a city street. I barely made it across the intersection and was able to coast to the side of the road with the steering wheel stiffening up. I've ran out of gas three times since then and each time the gas tank shows there is at least a quarter tank left. The dealer does not recognize this as an issue since my VIN is not one of "those" affected. What can I do? the first incident happened in February when the vehicle had less than 96000 miles on it.

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Armada. While driving 70 mph, smoke appeared from the engine compartment and the vehicle stalled. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that a pipe burst. The pipe was replaced. Several days later, while driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle lost power and the service engine and other warning indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the fuel gauge displayed between 1/4 to empty. The vehicle restarted once the contact placed fuel in the tank. The contact also stated that the front passenger seat air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired for the air bag warning indicator or the fuel gauge misreading. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

Nissan states there are no recalls open for this VIN although nets states this make model and year has a recall out for the the fuel gauge. My gas tank incorrectly reads the gas which caused me to stall on the highway! I can drive around all day and will still show its full. Engine is also very loud during acceleration and overheats the car. Passenger airbag light will also not turn off, not sure if this is a recall, but car indicates no passenger is sitting when there is and shows the airbag will not deploy of a crash happens.

The driver side airbag is not working due to a faulty harness assembly. The fuel gauge does not measure fuel accurately. The ABS brake light comes on and the brakes stop working while you are driving. Nissan refuses to fix the issues without us paying over 3 grand even though these items were recalled on other Nissan but there is no recall on this particular Nissan. This Nissan needs to be added to the recalls. We bought the car 5 months ago from go automotive and they also refused to fix the issues.

I recently learned of the safety recall 10V-074 that described the exact situation I encountered in 2014. I was driving on expressway at 70 mph when engine died. Luckily I was able to coast over to side of road, but was between an on ramp and off ramp--very dangerous. Fuel gauge showed 1/3 of a tank. Roadside assistance added a couple gallons of gas. I was able to start and drive to dealer. No recalls were identified for my VIN at the time so I was charged nearly $1000 to replace fuel pump/sender. I am bringing this to your attention because I have so far been unsuccessful in negotiating reimbursement from Nissan. Based on the number of complaints I see on your website, I believe a non-VIN specific safety recall campaign must be initiated because this problem will most likely continue since these vehicles can last a long time--my Armada had 154,000 miles on it at that time.
