Started this summer when smart key security system would intermittedly not recognize my key to open door and/or start the car. Had it checked by the dealer, but he found nothing wrong. Another cube owner reported this same problem on another web site. AAA mechanic who got my car open and started said that if the smart key is near the car for a long period than it can keep the car electrical system in active mode and that drains the car battery and now that battery needs replacing on a 2 year old car. I had a jewler check the fob to see if its battery was failing and he reported that the fob battery was fully charged. Any suggestions?
