Problem start almost a year ago. Engine stalls while driving, must pull off road & wait 5 to 10 minutes then starts up. Nissan replaced ignition module on warrenty. Solved problem for several months. Since then have spent thousands of dollars. Had new catalytic converter installed. New fuel pump & gauge. New relays etc. Nothing seems to work for long.!!!

The truck died while driving and nothing worked. All power was lost. Nissan replace the ECU and said it was fixed. But, as the service guy was pulling the truck around for me to take it home, it died again. The dealer has no idea what the problem is at this point.

it seems a lot of people have had this problem. the engine dies while driving and wont start again. They put a recall out for the ECU relay but i had this replaced right after the first time it happened and the next day it did the same thing. a check engine light came on and said it is the crank shaft position sensor A. Nissan really needs to look into this as this can be extremely dangerous!!!

My 2005 Nissan Frontier has been running great until just recently. Now it will sputter and stall at traffic lights or going down the road at 70mph, smooth roads or bumpy roads, full of gas or close to empty. There doesn't seem to be any certain circumstance that triggers it. If I try to restart it right away it will sputter (like an old carburated engine running on 2 cylinders) but won't start. If I turn it off and wait about 30 seconds it will crank right up and run like a champ until the next time it decides to stall!

It's always wonderful driving to work at 5am but to have your engine just shut off and leave you with no way to stop but a ditch is not a good way to start my day. I have replaced the radiator, the transmission ( thanks to a faulty design in the transmissions cooling system in the freaking radiator) the water pump, the fuel pump every sensor know to the freaking world and yes I used only nissan parts, learned that lesson no Chinese parts in my truck. Now after replacing everything including ECM I am still blowing out the oil pressure sensor. I can tell you this I am a working man and I can't afford freaking $90 an hour to pay a nissan mechanic to fix the mess this truck has freaking radiator and transmission plus labor alone broke the bank, what the Hell? Won't ever happen again as soon as I can get rid of it it's heading to the junk yard wouldn't wish this truck on anyone that isn't a CEO or CFO of nissan! The word freaking is a nice way of saying what I really want to
