Frontier

  • 78,000 miles
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated the fuel level indicator would read inaccurate fuel levels intermittently. The fuel level indicator would only read accurate levels when the fuel tank was full to capacity. He was able to locate a recall for the failure however when contacting the manufacturer, he was advised his VIN was not included in the recall (NHTSA campaign id number 06V092000: Fuel system, gasoline: Storage: Tank assembly: Filler pipe and cap). The contact believed the recall should be expanded to include other potentially defective vehicles. The failure mileage was 78,000.
