The front crash zone sensor (czs) failed due to rust and must be replaced. The is described exactly in the NHTSA campaign number 08V69000. Nissan claims that no recall has been issued for this problem. Why not?

My airbag system had been disabled in my 2005 Nissan Frontier due to a bad passenger airbag sensor. The repair will be over $1800 and Nissan has already agreed to assist in $300 for fixing the problem. My concern is that other Nissan vehicles have been recalled for the same problem in the past year but my model has not. They have assumed some of the responsibility by offering me some compensation. I believe that this is a factory defect and should be corrected by Nissan to ensure the safety of the vehicle. I would like to add my vehicle has never been in an accident and has always been repaired by a Nissan dealer, I have been under review with Nissan customer affairs for the past 2 months and have not been able get compensation.
