My truck has the promblem of campaign number 10vo75000 but Nissan said not cover by my VIN is this more wide spread in other modle truck?

The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10V075000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

Service engine light code PO463 fuel level sensor is know defective and told me for them to cover the cost of replacement all they would need is an official diagnosis which I got from Nissan of sacramento at my own expense of $150 which was a struggle since I'm unemployed, I'm told it could show the gauge can show 1/4 tank when there is no gas in the causing potential stalling in traffic and causing an accident

The fuel gauge displayed an inaccurate reading that the fuel tank capacity was full however, the fuel tank level was empty. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic for diagnosis. The mechanic informed that the fuel sensor would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10V075000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

The gas gauge has stopped working. It will read empty (with light on) even immediately after a fill-up. Over the next few days, it gives erratic readings. I have to keep a written note on the mileage each time I fill up so that I don't accidently run out of gas

A few weeks ago I noticed that the fuel gauge on my truck would drop to empty and the low fuel indicator light would turn on immediately after filling up. After I drove around a few miles, the fuel gauge would go back up to it's normal level. However, over the course of the last few weeks it has gotten worse and worse to the point where it almost always reads empty. After looking online, I found that there was a recall on my year, make, and model for faulty fuel sensors (NHTSA campaign #10V075000). However, after calling Nissan and providing them with my VIN, they informed me that my truck was not part of the recall. After researching this online, I've found that many, many people are in the same situation as me. Some have even been told by the Nissan repair mechanics who fixed their vehicles that it was caused by the same defect, but there was nothing they could do because the VIN wasn't included in the reported batch, or that that the extended warranty for this defect had already expired. This is outrageous. I walk to work almost every day so the mileage on my Frontier is fairly low. I'm just over 50,000 miles since I purchased the truck in 2006, but I'm still affected by this serious defect. This is a potentially dangerous defect. It is not right that I, and every body else who is affected but not "covered", should have to pay the high price for the repair.

The lock ring that holds the fuel level sensor, fuel filter, & fuel pump assembly has come loose and the assembly moved upward about inch leaving a gap allowing gas to splash out of the top of the fuel tank when full of gas or going over a bump. This happened over time after the vehicle's fuel sensor was replaced after a recall.

Shortly after purchasing the vehicle used in late December 2014. I was receiving a P0463 code the gas gauge randomly started dropping to below empty and the light would go on just after filling up the tank (full). The gauge stays at empty with the light on all the time until it reaches around 1/4 tank or less and will go down sometimes until empty again. However it has run out of gas on me multiple times in intersections when it says I have 1/4 or 1/8th tank which leads to a major safety concern. I am forced to use the trip meter all the time while driving my vehicle. This is directly related to the fuel sending unit issue that has affected all other 2006 Frontiers (and other years as well). Although Nissan only replaced 'some' it is the same part and issue that has affected all Frontiers that have had this issue. Why mine is not covered I am not sure but it has put my vehicle and any occupants in it in danger and is a costly repair due to a manufacturer defect. An auto repair store said the whole fuel pump unit needs to be replaced but the vehicle is my daily driver so I have had to drive it in this condition for a year now never knowing if it will run out on me while driving at speed.

The transmission on my truck suddenly went out with no warning during my morning commute in heavy traffic on the 202 loop in phoenix. Shifting to a different gear had the same effect as stepping on the gas, which was that the engine revved with no increase or decrease in speed. I had to coast across 4 lanes of fast moving traffic. It was an incredibly dangerous situation. I am told by the Nissan dealership that transmission fluid mixed with coolant and that it was a catastrophic failure. I have received no notices of any kind from Nissan and was shocked to learn that this is a known, commonly occurring defect and that the defect manifests instantaneously and without warning most of the time. Nissan should be held accountable for the defective system and for not notifying me that I should have the dealer fix it before they put my life and property and that of every person around me at risk. While driving I noticed my "service engine soon" light on, so I called a local Nissan dealer in our place and have a change oil service. The tech advisor informed me that my fuel sensing unit is malfunctioning and asked me if I wanted to have and quoted me a price of over $400. I said no because I cannot afford that amount. I research and found out that there was a recall for this type problem however it expired already. I called corporate Nissan and requested if they can fix the problem. They called me today (5/29/2015) and told me they cannot extend the recall. I think this recall should be extended by Nissan. Please investigate because there are a lot of other 2006 Nissan Frontier having the same problem as of this time (based on the several Nissan forums I read on the internet.

When I first bought my vehicle I seen nothing pretty much wrong with it. After a week of driving with it I start noticing problem with the tires, not a big deal. I fixed that, then I notice that my vehicle starts acting up in changing gears, as well as heating up. So I check the radiator, that I notice transmission fluid inside the radiator. So I called the Nissan dealership after hearing a recall, due to this issue. They tell me that I would need $3500 as a deposit, before they do anything because it is possibility that not only the radiator needs to be changed, but that they would have to change the transmission also if they see it needs to be changed. All this in less than a month. So I change the radiator myself. Now a month later the transmission is acting up on me. So I ask what good is a recall if I have to pay to get it fixed. What good is buying a vehicle if the manufactures and dealership take no responsibility in what they build or sale. I never try to do this to any customer in wherever I work, either the cable or phone company, so what make Nissan special in doing this to their customers. In less that 2 month after I get my truck from the dealership, I have to fix my tires, put a new radiator, and now a transmission. What use is having a government or a federal system, when the customer is not being heard, and the people with the money can lie to the customer and our system does nothing, but allow all this to happen.

Took vehicle to local Nissan dealership for noise that appeared to be coming from transmission with a slight rowing sound when transmission shifted between 40 mph and 45 mph. Shop manager informed me truck needed a new timing chain and fuel tank sending unit. After making repairs to the timing chain which the shop manager specifically indicated that the problem was with the timing chain, my truck still has the same exact problem. These repairs were made at my expense. Now the dealership want me to pay for additional repairs that may not be the problem when they specifically assured me that the timing chain was the problem. I feel that the real problem with my vehicle is the radiator and transmission, which is a nation-wide problem with Nissan Frontier truck transmission and other Nissan vehicles. Nissan is responsible for a re-call on these vehicle. (will seek Nissan Corp. & BBB assist to resolve this issue).

In eight years I have changed two ZD30 engines in my Frontier, because of burned out pistons and bad cylinder heads, eight burned out pistons in total, and as of today December 3/2014 my Frontier lost power sending blue smoke from the exhaust and oil, my mechanic says the engine has to be opened again. My fuel pump went bad soon after the warranty was up.sent it over seas to be repaired, at a cost of $1500 the dangerous part is the steering going loose, lucky for my wife and self I was in traffic driving at 10 mph. The local dealer disclaimed everything. I am about to lodge a complaint to our local bureau of standards.
