The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Frontier. While traveling at 60 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated on the dashboard. Within seconds, the fuel level gauge became inoperable. The dealer advised that the fuel level sensor would need to be replaced. The contact inquired about NHTSA campaign id number: 06V092000 (fuel system, gasoline: Storage: Tank assembly: Filler pipe and cap) but was told his VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 74,000 and the current mileage was 82,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that after he filled the vehicle with gasoline, the fuel level indicator would only read half a tank of gasoline. The check engine light also illuminated on the instrument panel and the vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer was able to diagnose the vehicle with a defective fuel level sender circuit (code P0426) which was described in NHTSA campaign id number 06V092000 (fuel system, gasoline: Storage: Tank assembly: Filler pipe and cap) but his VIN was not included in the recall. The dealer advised the repairs were the owners responsibility. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000 and the current mileage was 43,136.
