While driving on the highway on 7/13/2019 I felt my truck jerking/tugging which has never happened before. On 7/14/2019 the 'service engine' light came on and the jerking was more noticeable, I made an appointment with the local Nissan dealer for service on 7/16/2019 and I was told that there is coolant mixed in with the transmission and the tcm eventually fried since it is housed inside the transmission, apparently the transmission cooling hoses route to the radiator and the only remedy is to replace the transmission and the radiator. I searched online and found that I am not the only one that this has happened to. The problem

Entering 4 lane highway with 70 mph traffic. Kicked Frontier into passing gear to enter ongoing traffic. Frontier stalled and slowed instead of increasing speed. Transmission slippage and jerking caused motor to increase rpms. I had to move my truck over to right of paved lane and onto pulloff area in order to prevent accident. I was told at the Nissan dealership that I had transmission damage due to radiator fluid leaking into transmission. It cost me $2500 to repair a problem that could have cost lives. I understand this was a problem that was not recalled by Nissan.

As I pulled into my parking space, the vehicle suddenly accelerated, and before I could stand on the brakes it had jump forward about 6 feet onto the sidewalk in front of my building. While standing on the brakes, the engine continued to accelerate, rear tires spinning and smoking, until I shut the engine off. Note that I was just turning into my parking space, running at an idle and preparing to stop when the sudden acceleration occurred. Fortunately, I had my foot on the brake when this happened and I was able to stop before slamming into the building.

I had just filled my tank with fuel. I pulled of the lot of the station into traffic, notice my fuel gauge didn't never register the fuel just added. Moments later the low fuel light came on and the service engine soon light also. I circle back to the station where the fuel was purchase and the truck began to sputter. I return to the station and proceeded to the clerk that sold me the fuel and explained what happen. I was thinking it was a problem with the fuel. Clerk stated she would record my claim/ I left the station and proceeded to drive home where I arrive safely.

The D for drive would no longer show -to took it transmission place and they detected coolant leak into transmission. Found out Nissan had lost a class action suit over this and realized my truck is over limit for milage this is second major repair for this vehicle had a transmission control module replaced and was partially reimbursed after a big fight with dealer and Nissan. Will never buy another Nissan after this I hope you hang them out to dry over this.

I was driving and noticed that when I slowed down or stopped, then tried to go again the car hesitated, then took off fast all at once. At times even when the gas pedal was floored the car wouldn't go, then would take off. I tried changing gas, an additive, nothing helped. I had a neighbor drive the car and he said get it in before you kill someone. I called a couple of shops, but eventually went to the dealership and told them what was happening. They diagnosed a major engine problem that there was a class action lawsuit that was ruled against Nissan. They said I needed a 5000 dollar repair, but they would only charge me 2500 because of the lawsuit. It seems they only cover full price up to 80000 miles. I was 600 miles past there repair line. I explained that I had tried many things, and the problem was going on long before the 80000 mile mark. I offered proof by calling the shops and trying to put them on the phone with Nissan, they would not take the phone. I called the neighbor to talk to them as proof that he drove the truck more than a month earlier and the problems were severe. They would not take the phone. They eventually gave me the Nissan Consumer Affairs number, and Consumer Affairs gave me a case number and have not returned a call since.whenever I call they say someone will return your call by the end of the day, of course nobody does. Meanwhile, the problem is getting worse, and I am getting scared to even drive the truck anymore. Then I came across you guys and it seems that you are aware of the problem, and have had other people like me. Please help.

No power to wheels...transmission coolant and engine coolant mix together due to malfunction in radiator causing catastrophic transmission failure. Cost to replace radiator and transmission is $5200...research on this matter indicates that Nissan Corp. Knew of the problem and that a class action law suit coving this defect has been approved, but, the deadline to apply has passed...my truck just broke and it is now too late to register for the approved class action law suit. How can I get reimbursed like so many others have"?"
