This tail gate continues to fly open after lockimg it with a key. Finally, it flew open which damaged the tail gate bending it outward requiring a body shop to fix this despite trying to get Nissan to own up to the defect. The body shop discovered that the hinge receiver they ordered/received from Nissan is different than the factory receiver. The new receiver is angled about 30 degrees different from the original.
So this begs the question: why did Nissan change if there was no design flaw? Nissan has been about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. This will be my last Nissan product. I'm going back to Toyota.
