The contact also stated that the instrument panel also read 180 miles until empty however, the fuel gauge would show a quarter tank of fuel remaining in the vehicle. The contact noted that the reading was incorrect. The dealer had been notified of the failure and stated that they were unaware of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.
