driveshaft failure

Driving down the road and felt a big shake, shudder, and bang. Could hear my driveshaft dragging after that. ABS, Brake, Traction control lights all came on. Pull over to see the driveshaft hanging down and grease all over the undercarriage. Starting and stopping acceleration with this truck has always been clunky. Not sure what caused it, truck is still at the dealer awaiting repair.
