Juke SL V4

Had this problem, unable to start car because steering wheel locked up, starting in 2012 - dealership put car on diagnostics and felt it was the battery - they replaced the battery. Had the same problem again intermittently for the next year, but was able to start car after several attempts. Unable to start car again in 2014, called for roadside service - they jumped car. Took Juke to dealer, who replaced the battery again. Problem continued intermittently. This week (within 7 days of extended warranty end) problem has resurrected itself and googled for the situation - found it under Defective Electronic Steering Column Lock - taking back to dealership to have this fixed this time, not a new battery! When we called for appointment, we asked if the problem we were having sounded familiar - "oh gosh, no - there's been hardly any problems with the Juke" - yeah, right!
