I bought this Nissan Juke new in Nov. 2010, but only recently learned about the problems with the CVT from a friend. Almost from the start I complained about the low gas mileage, but was told this was due to driver variability or just normal exaggerated advertised reports of 27 - 30 mpg. Most of the major repairs were done at the Nissan dealership. Earlier this summer, I had a problem, diagnosed at the dealership, including a problem with the transmission. The transmission repair (it was "wiped") cost $800.00. Having since learned of the chronic problems with Nissan's CVT, I wonder if this wasn't part of the problem. No one at Nissan mentioned any problems with the CVT.

I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
