There was a heavy, heavy smell of gasoline in the inside of the car upon starting it....every time it was started. I took it in to the mechanic and was told that the fuel injector seals are leaking and that there was an active recall on the 2012 Juke for that problem, but that mine was not under the recall because it did not fall into the time frame for that year (supposedly it was manufactured after the problem was discovered and rectified). I was told that my particular 2012 Juke was "fixed in manufacturing" and therefore did not qualify for the recall according to the VIN. Customer service for Nissan was really not very helpful at all. The mechanic has even said that it is the EXACT issue that they have issued the recall for and that obviously it WAS NOT fixed in manufacturing. As a result, I had to pay out of pocket to have the issue fixed because not only was it nauseating to drive the car with that smell, it was a fire hazard!!! Shame on Nissan for not handling this situation better!
