Early May, 2018 my 2012 Nissan Juke started making strange noises. I had a mechanic check it out, and he said the timing chain needed to be replaced. I called Nissan approx. May 31, 2018 after researching the problem. Saw that Nissan was replacing the timing chain previously,at no charge, but no longer offer this to their customers. Talked to Emanuel and he said there were no recalls, or known problems with this vehicle. He gave me a case number, 31473896.
I wrote a letter to Nissan on June 2, 2018, and as of today, June 20, 2018 I have had no response at all.. I gave my email and phone number to them.. From what I am told, the repair will be approximately $900-$1200 if I get it done before the chain breaks.. If it breaks, the bill could be upward of $5000.
I am still waiting to hear from Nissan, as this vehicle is in excellent condition. I just replaced the brakes, and tires and would like it to last many more miles. The last Nissan I had went over 200000 miles without any problems
