I bought a brand new 2013 Nissan Juke in 2013. Bought the extended 100,000 mile warranty. Didn't have an issue with the car until last week. Driving down the highway home from work, I began having problems accelerating over 60mph. Called the dealership the next morning told them the problem. Parked the car in the garage and didn't move it from Monday to Friday when I got it into the dealership. I ask the guy what it might be, immediately turbo. The tech said he saw them break down at the current mileage of 82k. I asked if it was going to be covered. Immediately the answer was yes but they wanted to do some more tests. They gave me a rental and said it would be covered by the warranty. Cool. Service dude told me it would be a couple of days. Cool.

A WEEK later, in adding to the rental insurance bill that I chose to pay for, and now they are telling me that it may not be covered by my warranty because my father performed the last 3 oil changes on the car. Really???? The turbo is a known issue with Nissan Juke. Now...I'm out of a car which I can't afford to pay 3k to replace the turbo. And I have to pay 500 for a rental I was told would be covered by my warranty.

How would anyone feel being jerked around for a week being told it would be covered with each conversation with the tech, and then at the last minute being told no. It would not be covered.

I'm still paying this car, and I may not be able to use it anymore. I drive 45 miles each way to work. I'm at a loss. I loved that car, he was my pride and joy...now I can't even enjoy him. I'm devastated. Nissan needs to do something about this.

So frustrated right now. My Juke's turbo went out in warranty! Dealership wants all my service records. We call Nissan USA and start a case, they ask us why the dealership wants these records. Told that we will know something by the end of the day Monday. Get a call at 4:30 telling us no, now it will be Friday. GRRRRR! This will be over a week that since the car went in. My plan was to trade in this car and get a new Nissan as soon as it was fixed but now I am not sure. I have really liked my car but certainly am not enjoying this problem getting dragged out like this. This car only has 47,000 miles on it, a turbo should not be out at this low of miles especially since this car is mostly driven on the highway.

The turbo on my 2013 Juke SL AWD CVT has gone out. I have only 64,000 miles on the car and no reason was given for the turbo defect.

I purchased my automobile in October of 2013 and I have been the only owner. Saturday, May 6, I was driving my car and I heard a rattling noise, but more importantly I had a very difficult time getting above 45 mph. I did not drive my car again until it was time to drop it off at the dealer on Monday around 5:30pm. It was Friday, around 12:00pm, that a technician contacted me and told me the problem was my turbo. Needless to say, I was shocked! I asked the tech. how it happened and he stated he did not know, but that there was nothing wrong with my timing chain or the transmission (very convenient) since I know these are common issues with the Juke. He also stated there were items floating around from the turbo and that was the noise I was hearing.

My problem is this, my warranty was up at 60K and I am still paying on the car. I have taken my car to the dealer a number of times and no one ever told me there was an issue with my turbo. I even inquired more than once why my oil burns so much. No one ever answered that question. I financed this care for 5 years and I am within a year and a half of paying it off. Now, I have a tech telling me I have a $4500 bill at 64K miles, THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS! ARE NISSAN'S CARS ONLY GOOD UP TO THE EXTENT OF THEIR WARRANTY? I have had a couple of cars that have lasted a long time, I understand issues arise, but a $4500 repair on a car that most have said is still pretty new on something like the turbo? I do not think this is something I am liable for. When I research online, turbo issues don't arise, if at all, until over 100K. There is clearly a defect somewhere and I don't feel that expense should fall back on me.

For the most part, I have enjoyed my Juke, but this situation has made me think twice about the Juke and Nissan, to be honest.

Was coming back from Chattanooga and hit Knoxville and turbo went out. The car would not get above 45 on the interstate. Took to Nissan and replaced turbo at $2800.00 which I paid out of pocket. Said it was fixed headed back to Chattanooga, fine. Come back home and hit Knoxville and went out again. Took back to dealership nothing wrong. Bring back when it does it again. Now can't get to Sweetwater without it going out, granted stop and let it cool down and it will come back on. That is a pain and very inconvenient. Took out extended warranty and now I want it fixed. I have drove it to Florida and not had this problem. Now can't get it on the interstate without worrying about it. Can't go see family because don't trust it. What do I do?
