Vehicle continues to rev engine high upon starting. Causing service engine light & traction control warning light to turn on. Does so after sitting. No one has been able to diagnose. Once codes are cleared, light do not go back in for days/weeks. Little acceleration will occurs. Engine seems to over heat in hotter weather. This was after sitting in park for a min. Of 3 hours. Never after driving.

Approx 1:00 P.M. I pulled into the wendy's drive through and the line was wrapped around the building. There was a large like Ford truck in front of me. I sat there maybe 1 min and I thought felt my car jump (and I thought 'what was that'), then the truck pulled up and the second I removed my foot from the brake, my car felt like an airplane and I plowed into the truck in front of me (I had no control). My car kept going until he it knocked him out of the line of the drive through line and my car kept going across the parking lot then up onto the curb, but it stopped before hitting a tree. I was terrorized. I had the brakes pushed down to the floor and it felt like they were in something soft, nothing happened. Called the police and filed a report, called state farm to start the claim. I first called lee Nissan to tell them what happened, and talked with patrick in service. He had notes that everytime I came in I told about the car lunging. State farm set up the car to go to capital Ford next door and set up a rental car. I was a mess. While on the phone in the parking lot a gentleman parked by me came and told me he had the same thing happen to his Nissan versa (the car he was driving), he talked to state farm, and said Nissan had file about his situation but it happened just like me. Called lee Nissan and talked with doug that sold me the car, I had taken the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper coverage including oil changes. Told him what happened and I was afraid of the car. Will talk once capital Ford and Nissan finish their research. Called Nissan customer affairs they set up a file and escalated the file and assigned 38592070. Police file is P20002887 raleigh police department officer P.D. matthews.

The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Juke. While driving 45-50 mph, the vehicle decelerated and lost power in the middle of the road without warning. The engine would not restart and the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The mechanic did not assist. The vehicle was driven to crowney Nissan (1451 farmington ave, bristol, ct 06010, (860) 540-0555) where it was determined that the VIN was not included in a recall; therefore, the contact would have to pay for the repairs. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 94,000. The VIN was invalid.

While waiting for a light to change I noticed a puff of smoke coming from under the hood of my car on the passenger side. It quickly turned into billows of smoke. My sister and I quickly got my grandchildren out of the car and over to a safe area. The smoke became dark brown and then black and burst into flames. Luckily the fire department was very prompt. However, the vehicle filled with smoke and the windshield burst out. This car had only 13,000 kms. It was a very frightening vent and my family's safety was severely compromised.this has been reported to department of Transport in Canada

The contact owned a 2017 Nissan Juke. While driving approximately 30 mph, a burning odor was present inside the vehicle. The contact noticed smoke under the hood and pulled into a fuel station. When the contact opened the hood of the vehicle, black smoke poured out of the engine. Within minutes, the vehicle burst into flames. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to a towing garage where it was deemed destroyed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The contact called bedford Nissan at (440) 791-2212 (located at 18115 rockside rd, bedford, oh 44146) and was informed to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened case number: 30984436. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000.
