We purchased this vehicle brand new and currently has 24,000 miles and has always been garaged. I just became aware now that there is no functioning burglar alarm and possibly no ignition lock-out similar to the Kia and Hyundai issue. Even though there is a functioning armed indicator light on the dash and there is a horn alert on locking and the button on the key fob alerts, there is no alarm on attempted entry or other assault. I looked the other day to see if the alarm fuse might be blown and there was no fuse in that position and there was only one wire to that position which, of course, makes it non- functional. This vehicle has had the tires vandalized, sabotaged, 3 times and hit-and -run all in our church parking lot while we were inside the building, car locked, armed ?, and no alarm sounded ever. There is nothing in the owner's manual that says the alarm or lock-out is optional. I have owned a 2011 Juke, a 2014 Juke and I was not aware of any alarm problem. I have just contacted nissanUSA and local dealer, no response yet.

My traction light and brake light repeatedly have come on and remain on over the course of the last year but have not come up as part of any of the safety recalls that are affecting other nukes that were built during the same time period. In addition, my car makes a humming sound as if engaging the traction system at each stop. I've had the car serviced and the brakes changed but to no avail, the lights have returned a mere 3 weeks after getting new porcelain brakes and rotors installed. My car is still not part of the recall but I do believe there is indeed an issue with my brake and traction system and it is going to fail me at some point despite Nissan not wanting to fix this.
