Nissan has been very slick/sly about how it has dealt with the battery capacity issue on the 2011 and 2012 Nissan Leaf. It is disappointing to see Nissan at first mislead customers and then apparently abandon customers who purchased the early models. Once you meet the criteria to qualify for the battery replacement, which is a very frustrating process, basically Nissan requires your LEAF drop to eight bars of battery capacity, which at that time you should be getting about 50 miles per 100% charge. Which is less than 50% of the advertised 108 miles range. The bars of capacity each have a different weight which is a whole other subject and the rate of which bars drop should be investigated by the government, as it ranks up there with the VW scandal on how the software updates changed how range and battery charge is calculated. Even how the regen works.
Now that I have qualified for the battery replacement, we are looking at 8-10 weeks! Yes 8-10 weeks for batteries, so either the LEAF is so popular that they can't keep up, or Nissan has a serious problem with quality or maybe they are about to abandon their EV initiative.
Chevy GM, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, blow away Nissan, and the Bolt and Model 3 will shut the door on any chances of Nissan having a EV future. You can't trust a company like Nissan when they lie and then hide behind an "executive filter team" that puts up walls and really doesn't know what is going on in the real world.
Shame on Nissan.

The warranty lasted until october 1st 2017 and just right after that date the car battery needed the warranty replacement. It seems to me that they rigged it and set it up to after that date to not need the warranty at all. I mean right after October first 2017 the battery went down and needed the warranty which is very strange. Too much to not be a coincidence
