Very upset as the dealer Mike Erdman Nissan quoted me a $4000 charge to fix an airbag flashing warning light on the passenger side seat. They are not even sure they can get the part even if I could afford to fix it. They say they have to replace the entire seat.

It is a safety issue and Nissan should take care of it.

Nissan had a recall for Leaf 2013 and 2014 for the same problem which was fixed at no cost to the owners. Our year 2012, does not fall into that campaign and Nissan refuses to help defer some our cost. Our Leaf battery was just replaced by us for $7500 and the air conditioner compressor was also replaced for $2800. All at a cost to us and essentially the car is brand new. They cannot tell us if the air bags will actually deploy now. So a huge liability that they refuse to help us with but paying the repair or a discount. We have taken our car to the dealer for all repairs.
