Maxima

  • 100 miles
2004 and newer Nissan Maximas has a serious steering wheel vibration after 40mph. Nissan dealership says they are no complaints, but the internet if full of customers having this same problem. My car is 6years old but only has 34,000 miles. New tires, brakes, rotors, alignment multiply tire balances has not fixed this problem. On the internet customer have replaced struts, bearing, cv axles and problem still exist. This seems like a problem needs to be addressed.

Maxima

  • 95,000 miles
The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Maxima. While driving between 35-45 mph on normal road conditions, the transmission slipped without warning. In addition, there was erratic shifting between gears. When the gear shifter was moved from drive into reverse, an excessive jerking motion occurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for inspection and it was discovered that the cv axle differential failed. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 95,000 and current mileage was 106,000.
