Maxima SE 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

2004 Nissan Maxima SE was a good car after Nissan fix the transmission on it. Ever since my timing guides went for the timing chain, it has been burning oil since. Nissan of Queens is the worst service station there is. They will charge you just to look at the car, even though they know it's a common problem with the car, and their parts are overpriced. I found out that other Nissan parts station are much cheaper than them. But anyway my car is burning oil, I have no white or grey smoke when I start it in the morning, I have no leaks. It burns a lot of oil, and I don't know why.

Maxima LS 3.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 165,000 miles

I noticed that my engine had not a single oil qt.

That's weird because I just did the tune up back in Feb.

There's no smoke, no oil spill, nothing.

So I was reading some post and seems to be a problem with the Nissan and something about the CAT converter.

I don't know but...this could be fixed if I replace just the CATs?

Anybody knows?
