problem #2

Sep 012016

Maxima

  • Automatic transmission
  • 115,000 miles

passenger floorboard rusted completely through

Pieces of my car were falling off. Took the car in and they said the only thing between my car and the ground was my carpeting. There was a gaping hole in the floorboard.

problem #1

Maxima SE 3.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 107,288 miles

just like my 2000 maxima the floor boards have rusted out

I am sure Nissan is well aware of this issue of the floors rotting on the Maxima's. This is the second Maxima I own (the first was a 2000 SE w/126k miles) and the same damn thing happened. Perhaps a class action suit should be brought against Nissan regarding this issue. From what I have read there are quite a few people who have experienced this problem and have paid their hard earned money to have the floors repaired. The least Nissan can do is charge for the part only and eat the labor cost.

As of this point I will never own another Nissan nor recommend one if asked.
