I understand Morgan and Morgan had a class action suit against Nissan for rotting floor boards. I noticed the problem when I had struts and breaks done to the car. Contacted consumer affairs and am waiting to hear if they are going to attempr rectification of the issue. If not, I am going to have the problem fixed and sue the companyh directly as they new the problem existed prior to this date.

This shocked me!! I had been taking my car to a Nissan Dealership for oil changes and basic maintenance. NEVER did they tell me the floorboards were rusted out to the point that the carpet was showing through in one area.!!!! It was not until they said I needed bushings, links and brakes that I brought that to independent mechanic I trust for opinion and job completion. He is the one who told me the news about my floorboards. What the hell!!
so , I got the opinion of a few body shops and they said NO Way would they touch it. They said it was extremely dangerous and one even said he would not allow anyone he knew to drive a car in that condition because he said it is a "unibody" or something like that. My understanding is that it meant it's all one molded piece? and that with those floorboards so rusted out on both sides, if I were hit, the car would not hold up as intended.
This car was always garage kept and washed regularly. I didn't contribute to this problem and I resent the Nissan dealership not telling me I was driving a car that was compromised and would not withstand a crash as well as it should. It's so common, they have a Kit to repair it!! I spent the money and replaced them . Wish I had sold it then because now I have another huge problem. Never again will I buy a Nissan. Never had so many expensive repairs with any car I have ever owned.

Unbelievable that this has occurred after only 6 years of use.

Not only have I been dealing with the poor condition of Nissan paint job peeling my husband was doing maintenance and going over everything and noticed that the driver side floor board was rusting out, come on ppl. I again have a 83 Camaro that sits outside not garage kept and it doesn’t have one rust spot on it and the paint job looks beautiful compared to my 2007 Nissan Maxima this says a lot. My daughter bought it from a lady then I bought it from her and all three of us has taken good care of her. We call her Stella love the car but definitely has a few issues already had to have a new transmission put in and we both have had it serviced because we both have been told about this kinda car are known for transmission issues.
