camshaft position sensor failure

Car did not start, threw a check engine light. Accidentally cleared the code instead of looking it up, so I drove around for a few hundred miles until it threw it again. Got P0345, camshaft position sensor. This was preventing the car from starting sometimes. I had a problem about two months before this where the car died while I was driving (all the lights went on, engine turned off, loss of power steering, etc), which may have been caused by this sensor. I purchased both camshaft position sensors and the crankshaft position sensor from ebay for about $150 total.
