Maxima

Approaching a parking lot gate slowly with my foot gently on the brake. Engine suddenly surged to full power. I'm a 250 lb. Male and applied brakes with both feet and couldn't stop vehicle. Hit the gate arm causing little damage (inconsequential). Finally stopped and engine returned to idle when I managed to shift to neutral.

Maxima

While pulling into a parking space, I experienced an unintentional acceleration of my 2009 Maxima. I hit a light pole damaging the front right side of my car. Several months later I experienced the same type of acceleration, but I reacted in time by using my brakes.
