Maxima SV 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 24,940 miles

Stopped to pick up passengers turned the car off. when I started to leave the electrical system was completely dead. I jump started car and got a new battery when I arrive at our destination thinking this was the problem. One year later september 2016 when my wife went to church the same thing happened.everything was dead. I jump started the car and took it to interstate battery to have the battery checked because that is where it came from. The battery checked full charged. This saturday 6/3/2017 the car did the same thing everything was dead. I jump started and everything started working fine. After I jump started the car I turn it back off and it was working fine the battery was fully charged. This is really a mystery. Wife wants to get rid of it afraid to go anyplace. The car has 31,000 miles right now This is my second maxima, the first one was a 2004 and the anti-lock brakes went out at 32,000 miles so we traded it off. purchased both cars new. I think this will be the last one.

Maxima LX

  • CVT transmission

Bought freaking car for my wife in 2012 March. She didn't want to drive it til the nice weather. Car sat in garage for about 6 weeks. When I went to start the thing it would not. O.K. Battery was dead. Fine. I boosted it and it was fine. A few weeks go by, everything is fine. Then all of a sudden the car won't start, won't turnover, everything is completely dead..

Called Cullens Nissan in St.Catharinesand, explained the problem. They said maybe defective battery. Had the battery replaced by them at prorated cost to me. Why?? Don't know!!! Took car home and everything was fine for another couple of months. Then same thing happened. Car is OK and the all of a sudden, you go to start it and everything is dead. Called Cullens Service Manager. They said don't boost it, have it towed to their facility. Did that at cost to me, Again!!!! They checked it out...could find nothing wrong. Fine. Took car back and suffered with the same problem.

So far in the last 2 years the car has been towed back to Cullens Nissan every few months because it just dies and won't start or turnover. It's left my wife stranded in a mall parking lot, in a tow-away zone in a hospital parking lot, and a few times stuck in the garage with no way to move the damn car. We are frickin sick and tired of this car acting up. When you spend upwards of 35000 dollars on a car you would think the damn thing would work properly!!! It's been towed at least 8 or 9 times so far and nobody has offered a solution to this problem.

I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NISSAN, EVER!!!!

Maxima SV 3.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 34,500 miles

Every few days, my Nissan Maxima would not start. I took it to Carmax where I bought it from a month ago and they checked and could not fix it so they sent me to the Nissan Dealership and they said they fixed the problem by tightening a CVT hose and this should not happen again but a couple days later the same problem is there again. I am at a point that I am ready to leave this at the dealership and let them worry about it. I have only 500 miles left on warranty and I do not want to drive this car as I am not sure where this will get stuck.

I was at work couple weeks ago and left work at 3AM and got stuck at my office because the car won't start. I am going to address this issue on social media so Nissan get some more embarrassment from this.
