Bought the car from the Hudson Nissan dealership here in North Charleston, shortly after we purchased the vehicle I was watching by wife pull into the driveway and I noticed that a few of the LED lights in the passenger side view mirror weren't working. I scheduled a drop off appointment at the dealership for the following week. During their inspection they stated it wasn't a part of the warranty package we have, but they told me that the signals were working when they sold me the car and at further inspection the mirror has impact damage, but they had one in stock for $472 !! Needless to say I was not happy. They gave me the number to Nissan North America and said to call them and see what they could do. So I left and about a month later the right side completely stopped working and the drivers side had only a couple of lights still working. I contacted Nissan North America, and described the problem, they seemed to take me seriously and said they would call me in a few days and let me know. I received a call about 3 days later, and after a lengthy explanation of the steps they took they said there's nothing we can do your vehicle is outside of the vehicle warranty period, but they could get me in touch with the local Nissan dealer so I could order the parts if I'd like then the phone went silent and they said nothing else, so I hung up very upset with the whole situation. I have since noticed that most Maximas this body style the side view turn signals are either not working or like my situation. Nissan has to be aware that's its a very bad design and a problem. just wish we had a few brave souls to file a class action for this issue, I simply don't have the resources available to do it or I would in a flash.
