Murano SL 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 160,000 miles

Because of exhaust manifold is broken, it makes really awful noise. People turn when I stop at the traffic light. Engine burning oil because air gets in the engine I believe. Took it to dealer paid $125 for trouble shooting even they could tell me it is exhaust manifold problem by hearing the noise, because local mechanic told me but I took it too the dealership anyway.

Murano V6

  • Automatic transmission

Unreal the issues this car has had. One thing after another. With all of the complaints of this happening, it should be a recalled issue. There is clearly a problem. And it isn't common ware and tear.

Murano LE 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission

This 2004 Murano was a lemon. Exhaust manifold, all bearings, driver seat, all cat convertors, power locks, suspensions, exhaust pipes are some of the major things that went bad before 200K kms. The check engine light wont go off due to rusting fuel feeder pipe. What a nightmare. Nissan messed up on this suv.

Murano SE 3.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 96,000 miles

Exhaust manifold cracked- car had sounded like it had a tiny exhaust leak for several weeks and suddenly one morning it sounded like there wasn't a muffler. Took it to the dealer and we got to purchase not only a new manifold but also a new catalytic converter. The dealer mentioned that this has been "happening" to Murano's.
