Grabbed the driver handle to open my door and the handle came off. I was standing there with the door handle in my hand, connected only by a cord. Wow. Opened the window and held the handle to the door frame while driving so I would not lose it or have it fly off in the road.

Door handle popped off and car won't unlock with the remote button. Can't afford to have it fixed, and sometimes I've had to climb in from the passenger door to drive. Never had this happen with any other vehicle!

Murano 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,000 miles

I was annoyed when my drivers side car handle just broke off without it being mishandled.....and now, less than a year later, the drivers side passenger handle has broken off----I'm even more annoyed when I hear how many others have reported similar problems....how many more have not though?! This is absolutely the WORST vehicle I have ever owned....I have never had a vehicle fall apart even with keeping up with regular maintenance things...it was clearly poorly made....there is a history of actuator issues with the doors power locks....I've taken in my car too many times to count and now have finally given up on the latest actuator issue on my car. it is an absolute money pit....what can we do to get a recall on this?! this is a major problem!!

Just want to confirm many other's complain - door handles in Nissan Murano suck. Today when I tried to open driver's door the handle just pulled out. Have not contacted the Nissan dealership yet but as far as I understand it will cost me up to $400. If Nissan is not going to fix this problem for me I would never buy any Nissan cars anymore.
