While driving on the highway my car was doing 2 RPM even when I pressed my gas pedtal down to the floor it wouldn't rev up which olny cause the car the car to do 10mph onced it reached 15mph it just shut off as I was drving on the highway thank god it was kind of late so I was able to steer my car on the shoulder I waited a good 10 to 15 minutes then it started back up still having rough idle problems the next day took it to the shop and trouble shooting codes popped up regarding both O2 sensors being replaced, I fixed the problem then a month later my car started jerking as I drive took it back to my mechanic the crankshaft sensor went bad so I ended up replacing that senor as well which now my car only reaches a maxium of 55mph I don't drive my car on the highway due to my car still having idle issues and now I notice my car burns oil really fast and my oli light indicator don't pop up on the dash board like it suppose to the only way I know my car needs oil now is when I hear like a fan noise coming from under the hood, Nissan you guys really need to take this car off the market as I have read im not the only driver having this issue with this svu its rasing safety concerns their are 960 complaints!!! I use my car to get back and fourth to work, take my daughter to school and I have no money to buy a new car please fix this problem!!!! its not right to keep this car on the market.

Back in April my Murano would turn off whether I was accelerating or just sitting at a stop light, the brake light and battery light would come on and vehicle wouldnt start back up, ended up having it towed 3 different times to mechanic who couldnt figure out what was wrong because it wasnt showing any codes so from there had it towed to newton Nissan where it took them 10 days to diagnose it was the alternator (replaced battery first but that didnt work)ended up getting the Nissan alternator versus aftermarket for the warranty, get it back everything is fine, now in August alternator fails out again, back to newton Nissan we go, the replace "alternator" and when I get it back power steering isnt working so after the fixed that everything was fine until it started shutting off on me again like the very first time. Meanwhile ive had to pay over $1000 for the alternator work which was recalled however my VIN didnt fall under the recall. Engine compartment and hood of car are also so hot you cant touch them even after just driving 1 mile in 70 degreee weather however the temperature gauge isnt running high. Now the airbag light is flashing on and off upon starting. I tried cycling the engine nurmerous times but the light is still on. Nissan said they will have to replace whole unit for $5000 because they cant pin point airbag issue. Airbag issue isnt fixed and nobody can tell me if I have a working air bag or not. Im not sure if I need to contact an attorney because im now concerned about the safety of my 4 year old daughter while in the vehicle.

I was driving my car and the engine acted like it was going to stall and wouldn't respond by giving it gas. Then it just lurched forward abrubtly and began to run normally. Then after about 2 more blocks while we're going 45 mph it completely stalled out in the middle lane of a 3 lane road. This caused the car behind me to almost rearend us but the cars behind them actually did get into a crash trying to stop from hitting them. Thankfully a police car was a few cars back and was able to put their lights on and push my car out of traffic because we couldn't even get out of the car with cars whizzing past us on both sides. Thank god or we could've been involved in a multiple car crash and one of us could have gotten hurt. This happened on 07/13/18. I paid about $600 to replace the alternator and fix something in the cooling system. Now it is only a month later, 08/15/18, and it's done it again. It stalled in the middle of a construction zone driving 35mph while taking my child to school causing traffic to back up. The cars were driving through the construction cones/signs to our right illegally or they were driving down the shared turn lane on our left to get around me. About 200 cars drove past us without bothering to offer help and even after calling 911 for help, it took them almost an hour to show up and once again had to push us off the road to safety. This is creating a huge safety concern. I saw recall 09V169000 for similar or same issue for my model/year but when I look up my VIN it says I have no recalls. I had spent almost $1300 about 3-4 yrs ago to fix this very same "stalling while driving" issue and thought I was past all this. Now I'm back to square 1 and issue still exists! why is this Nissan Murano flaw not covered for all Murano's with this problem" pease research my VIN# and see if it can be included in the recall before one of us gets seriously hurt"

Car loses power while driving. Codes P1700 and C1210 pop up in computer. No one can tell me what is wrong. Airbag light is on. No one can turn it off or tell me if it will work.

Vehicle takes minutes to pick up speed especially true when it is on a stop position either in an intersection or traffic light intersection. I put my foot on the gas and press all the way down where it slowly moves, pick up a speed and do the same thing for each stop sign or traffic stop light. When starting the vehicle, it makes a screeching sound. If able to drive, steering wheel sometimes have that slight shaking. We have been experiencing these issues for more than a year now. Tires were changed and brakes changed but issues still a big concern.

I had a check engine light and an airbag light appear on my dash. While driving on the beltway the ABS light came on and my car slowed down and wouldn't tee pond to the gas pedal. After about 2 minutes it kicked back in so I took it to get a diagnostic from a Nissan dealer the next morning. They told me everything was fine according to the computer there were a lot of codes that popped up but they told me they weren't happening anymore. I asked of they checked all of the wires they told me yes. So I took my vehicle and later that night while driving back from lunch break the ABS light came on again and the Murano slowed down as before only this time it cut completely off. It only held a jump for about 5 blocks before it cut off again. I had it towed back to the dealer the next morning and they told me they can't check anything unless I purchase a new battery so I bought a new battery and they put it in and told me everything was fine again it just needed a new battery. They told me everything was reading fine but in my opinion that was because it was feeding off the juice of a new battery. About 2 hours after leaving the dealer the same thing happen again with a new battery while I was driving. The ABS light came on the car slowed down this time the meters went crazy then it cut off. Only by the grace of god that no one was injured with my car cutting off while I'm driving. I called the dealer and they were not willing to do anything different and they told me my VIN number is not under a recall. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs after a week of waiting and unreturned calls I finally talked to a regional manager from Tennessee by the name of [xxx] only because I got transferred to him and all he told me was Nissan will not help you out financially. He didn't discuss the issue or offer solutions and showed no concern for safety only money even though I never asked for it. The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Murano. While coming to a stop at an unknown speed, the vehicle accelerated when the brake pedal was repeatedly depressed. The vehicle failed to decelerate and crashed into a brick building. The front passenger sustained injuries to the chest and both knees. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic and for severe front end damage. The building was also damaged. Prior to the crash, the front driver and passenger side windows along with all four power door locks activated independently while the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 76,000.

I purchased a pre-owned Murano with the extended warranty. A few months ago I had the oil changed and was notified the transfer case was leaking. I brought the car to a Nissan dealership to be fixed. The leaks were fixed, a few days later there was an intense burning smell. I brought the car back in to the Nissan dealer and they fixed it again. I was told there were some more leaks found. Now after driving the car in stop and go traffic for a long period of time the car will not accelerate properly. There is a 4 second delay then the car lurches forward. When I turn the car off for a while and turn it back on the problem seems to go away. I brought it again to the Nissan dealer and they will do nothing because they cannot replicate the problem. I was told the warranty will not pay for parts unless the problem can be duplicated at the dealer. This is a serious safetly issue and I am no longer comfortable driving this car.

I have a 2005 Nissan Murano which is two wheel drive with the ctv transmission. We were coming back from vacation from Colorado when the problem started. Several times during the trip when we were coming down a hill with the cruise control on the car would try to maintain the selected speed however if the hill was a little to big it would turn off the cruise control it self. We were just South of san antonio the last time that it had turned off the the cruise. The problem was when it turned off the cruise it also disabled the transmission. It was rather scary as we were driving in rush hour traffic when it did it. We were coming down a hill when the cruise turned it self off and in the process the car started to slow down and we were in the middle lane. All we could do was turn on the right turn signal and hope no one would hit us. Once we had gotten to the shoulder and stopped I had realized the engine was still running but the transmission wouldn't respond. I had put it in park and back into drive but the car wouldn't respond. I figured if I shut the engine off and restarted it that maybe it would reset whatever was wrong. I restarted the engine and the whole dash lit up. One by one the lights had gone out except the "service the engine soon" light. However the transmission worked and has worked since. By the time we had gotten home and gotten an appointment to take it in to a Nissan dealer the light had gone out. We had taken it to the charlie clark Nissan in harlingen Texas and they had it for two days and never had a problem with it. The reason they didn't have a problem is that we have no hills as we live in the valley and there are no hills here. They said that they had checked everything that could cause the problem and everything was to specification. So nothing was adjusted, or replaced so as far as I'm concerned the problem is still there and the next time we get into the hill country it will probably act up again.
