Hi, I have a family of 4 to 7 people, (not all at the same time of course), and the safety of my family depends on the structure of the car, but having this problem now myself, and having looked up on the internet, (one page with 394 complaints similar). I am wondering, are they trying to weed out the people, because I don't see how this could be allowed to go on? People's safety other than my own is at stake here...
When I rung the Nissan dealer (who at this stage shall remain UN-named) they told me;"oh.. but the car is nearly 10 years old..." So really??? Cars aren't meant to have a lifespan of 10 yrs??? Or is it the humans they're after??? If this problem doesn't get fixed by the respective dealer, than I shall be forced to take this further... Oh, did I mention I was driving with 3 other people in my car at the time of breakage at a estimate of 100km/h... Please help????

I have had my Murano at the Dealership for 5 weeks. The CVT (transmission) has been replaced twice for a cost of $12,000 and the jerking problem still exists. THE WORST PART ABOUT THIS PROBLEM IS NISSAN WILL NOT GIVE ME A COURTESY CAR!!!!! I have paid close to $800 of my own, to get to and from work. The dealership now wants the vehicle for another week to continue diagnosing the problem. Nissan Canada is useless and they refuse to compensate their customers. This is probably the worst customer service I have ever encountered and I will NEVER buy a Nissan product again because of it. I did enjoy driving the car but the company clearly needs to work on treating people who are inconvenienced by their mistakes. This has become a giant pissing match between the dealership and Nissan Canada. neither will take any blame for this disgrace! I have now made it my mission to bad-mouth and warn people of this issue.
To top it off, while the car was at the dealership, someone broke the back window and vandalized the interior of my vehicle. The dealership now thinks I should be responsible for paying the deductible for the broken windshield.
If you have a Nissan product on the road in Canada, DO NOT get your car serviced at Fairview Nissan in Burlington. Natalie and Daniel in the customer service department at Nissan Canada should realize that policies within the company should be in place to help the customer not piss them off.
Hope this blog reaches all of those potential Nissan buyers. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!

We bought this car January 2017 used, it was very clean,low mileage, ran good, love the car, was so excited! Have not bought a new car in about 15 years. We had a Honda CRV, loved it, drove it until she was done! It had over 200,000 miles on it. We also had a Nissan Quest minivan 1998, it had over 300,000 miles on it, so we thought we would stick with Nissan......now 1 year 6 months after getting the Nissan Murano only 121,000 miles it needs a NEW TRANSMISSION!!!! our used car warranty ran out 2 weeks before the transmission needed to be replaced!! They want over $4,000.00 for a new one!!! Nissan knew there were problems with these transmissions and now they don't care to help fix them!!! I am so disappointed in Nissan I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE! We live on a fixed income, still paying on the car and it needs a TRANSMISSION!!!!! If they see this they won't care either!!! SO DISAPPOINTED! DON'T BUY A 2005 NISSAN MURANO! !! YOU WILL GET SCREWED!!
