The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that the alternator failed while driving 50 mph, causing the vehicle to experience a complete loss of power. The brake and battery lights illuminated within two miles of the failure occurring. In addition, the driver seat mount detached. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the alternator failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred two times. The vehicle was also taken to an independent mechanic where the seat was welded. The manufacturer was aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 65,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Murano. While driving out of the driveway at about 5 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle accelerated when the air conditioner was turned off and totally lost power when the air conditioner was turned back on. The contact turned the air conditioner off and drove home. The vehicle did not restart and was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the alternator needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 120,000.
