I was driving from a funeral on Saturday July, 30th. 2022. The Car Has Been Fine, & Shown No Leading Hints Of Error. I Did Have A Spare Tire On In Which It Had No Problems Either. After The Funeral I Was Notified My Tire Was Ready, So I Headed Over To Get It Changed. After About 10/15 Mins Of Driving (Taking My Daughter To Work) The Car Started To Pull, & Make A Screeching/Loud Noise. At First I Thought Maybe It Was The Brake Pads, Or Tire Rubbing. After Calling My Dad (A Mechanic), & Talking With Others. Searching Online As Well. It Was Said To Be The Transmission. Few Moments Went By Then It Was The Transfer Case, Axel, Then Finally An Electrical Issue. My All Wheel Drive Light Constantly Flashes. I Have No Control Over The Off/On Module. Anything Over 5MPH It-??s Does The Noise, & Tries To Pull The Car To The Left. It Gets Louder, & More Strong As I Accelerate. I-??ve Never Had Problems Out Of This Car, Nor Has It Acted This Way Or Anything Close. It Was All Like A Random Happening. Now I Feel I-??m At A Loss As No One Knows The Actual Problem. As My Fiancé & I Both Work. We Have No Other Transportation, & Have No Way Of Getting A New Car At The Moment.

My car horn recently stopped working when depressing the areas on the steering column with the horn icon. I almost got into multiple accidents, first when driving on the interstate and could not honk on aggressive drivers who sharply pulled in front of me when driving; and later when trying to park in a parking lot and another driver reversed into me because he could not see me and I could not honk to signal him that I was in his blindspot. I checked with my mechanic of 23 years and he found that there was no issue with the fuse or the horn itself - the horn activates when manually triggered. However, there is a problem with the relay from the steering column to the horn and with this Nissan model, that relay is integrated with the air bag in the steering column. It's possible that there's also an issue with the airbag but it's never had reason to deploy. Lodging this incident because the horn is a central part of any car safety system and there seems to be a manufacturer defect in the relay that is integrated into the steering column to trigger the horn.

Incident 1: turned my car on and let it warm up to operating temperature, started driving, speed limit went from 25, 35, 45. Once I was coasting around 45 mph my vehicle lost power completely while in motion, locking my steering wheel. Came to a stop in the middle of the road and car would not turn over. Engine light code P0335 was read from my fixd app. Replaced sensor and all was fine for about 10 days. Incident 2: driving down a road going 30 mph up a hill my car again, lost power and steering wheel locked while in motion, brakes were very stiff and I was almost unable to stop my vehicle from rolling down the hill backwards. Checked my code reader and again, code P0335 was the issue again. Replaced another crankshaft position sensor. Incident 3: was stationary at a busy city intersection when my 2006 Nissan Murano again, lost power and would not start. My VIN number is not on the list of recalls but I feel as though it needs to be. There are other makes/models of Nissan that were recalled for this extreme safety issue.

While driving my kids to school this morning, I lost all acceleration in the middle of a busy road unable to move, drive anything. I turned the car on and off to try to move the car from the middle of the road, I could only reverse. When in drive I its as if it were in neutral. The battery, brake light and check engine light all came on at once. They were not on prior to this happening. Clearly this is some sort of malfunction with in Nissan. I read multiple people having the same issues as me and I plan to make this known. If I had been on the highway when this happened with my kids in the car we would all be dead this is a serious issues and it needs to be addressed clearly there is some sort of and issues where Nissan has a recall or something.

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Murano. While driving 25 mph and making turns, the steering wheel felt loose and made an abnormal clicking noise. Additionally, the check engine and ABS indicators illuminated, the horn failed to work, the driver's side window failed to move up or down, and the rear hatch failed to open. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (taj auto mall, 154 nazareth pike, bethlehem, pa 18020-9456) where it was diagnosed that the suspension needed to be replaced. The vehicle 's suspension was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 136,000.

I went to drive my car in the morning and it didn't turn on it had been running fine the whole time ive had it. I purchased this vehicle in 2015 it had 103945 miles on it. It now has 118K on it and once the battery was charged we proceeded to replace it. The next day it started up got me to work, as soon as I was getting ready to leave work it was completely dead. It took over an hour to jump it and finally get it going. As soon as I got home and parked it, once again completely dead. I have been told it is the alternator by several people and have not had time to get it in to a shop as I work difficult shifts to correlate with what is available for most shops to provide. I do not want to have this issue fixed and then have it happen again the next day as I have read several complaints here stating they fix the alternator just to have it happen again. Has this year and model had any recall in regards to this issue as I have purchased a brand new battery to have it stone dead the next day.

Took vehicle in for repairs for oil leaks, lights, trunk release, vehicle running like a truck, A/C, radio, transmission and camera display in car. Was told trunk release, motor, and transmission problems, and lighting couldn't be duplicated. The same day I picked up my vehicle turn vehicle off close the drivers door and head and rear lights shut off, close my trunk and again head and rear lights went off. Took vehicle to another dealer and showed the service advisor my concerns informed me a dianogstic test would cost $270 if couldn't find anything wrong, and I couldn't be take home because it was over 10 miles, and advisor suggested taking car closer to where I lived. Showed him and told him my concerns: Foot pedal switch works sometimes, seat operates sometime, the smell from exhaust has a very bad smell, A/C works sometime while driving and doesn't blow cold at all while idol, and sun visor keep falling down lower causing you to not see..

While driving my children to school in the morning, I was driving approx. 45 mph when suddenly I lost all acceleration. I had to try and roll to a safe place as I was in heavy traffic and put the vehicle in park. I turned the key off and waited a few minutes and re-started the vehicle and was able to drive a few miles before it happened again and lost all acceleration while pressing the gas pedal. Again, I rolled somewhere safe to park and turned the ignition off again, however I was unable to start the vehicle and all lights were illuminated on the dash panel. The vehicle was towed to a private mechanic where it was found that the alternator wires had failed and the battery was unable to be charged.

I had my vehicle towed to a local Nissan dealership to get a key made for it, since I had lost the key. The vehicle was in operation up to date. After getting a key made by the dealership, the key will not turn in the ignition for it is locked. The dealership told me that I now need to purchase a steering lock to get it fixed. The Murano I purchased was from a used dealership and I was unaware of any recalls and did not receive any letter to date for the recall on the steering lock since I have had it. There was a recall done on the Nissan Murano's in the 2006 date range for this same reason. I would like it to be fixed free of charge since I did not break it to begin with.

Faulty fuel gauge, fuel float or fuel monitoring system. I filled up the car and the gauge reads empty. It will erratically show different fuel levels ranging anywhere from empty to half-full to full. This is a safety issue because it is impossible to know how much fuel is left. After doing a brief internet search I discovered that their are multiple entries for this issue from other Nissan owners.

My power steering pump has malfunctioned and the hose has a hole in it. The leak has cause a belt to pop while I was driving. I did not know what happened until the truck battery killed over and a mechanic helped me while the vehicle disabled. I also know of three other Nissan Murano owners who have had the same problem. Two of them have paid a large amout to fix this problem and the other traded in the vehicle because of the problem. This is a defect with Murano and I googled this issue and noticed that this is a common problem with this vehicle.

The vehicle gas gauge behavior became erratic over the last year. At the mid point of 1/2 fuel it would go to zero and return later to return to a different reading. Today, 7/23/2012 the gauge sending was replaced and the factory installed defective sending unit was found to show signs of electrical arcing. It should be noted that Nissan has extended the warranty on fuel tank components in other models but not the Murano. Nissan reports the Murano is not under any recall for sending unit defects. Is there a risk of gas tank explosion from this defect" has NHTSA made any judgment about Nissan sending units. Is the gauge intrinsically safe so that the arcing could not cause vapor ignition? is the safety basis built around the tank vapors being outside the combustion zone, I.e. too rich? have others reported similar risk issues" thank you.
