When the Intelligent key light went on b/c "battery was low" according to Nissan and I replaced the battery several times with no success and them ignoring the problem. The service guy at the dealership suggested that I switched Ikey with my husband''s. Maybe mine was discharging all the time b/c it was close to my cellphone since they were in my purse at the same time. Believe or not I listened to the guy but the light is still on and There have been many times when my door on the driver side doesn't respond to the IKey or pushing the button to open it. I have to manually open the door from the inside. It started when the car had around 31,000 miles. I went to the dealership and they couldn't find anything. A few times my locks will lock and unlock on their own. I don't know what to do. I have read that when the light goes on the Ikey system needs to be repaired b/c it will lock you out. This started 4 years ago and like I said there hasn't been a solution to the problem. My car has around 65,000 miles right now. I'm concerned about this b/c when I had a warranty nothing was resolved.

As long as I've had this 2009 Nissan Murano, I've had entry problems, the car locks when you don't want it to lock and now the key isn't working. I replaced my battery due to all the issues of this keyless entry. The steering wheel locked on me twice. I now cannot unlock the steering wheel, or open car with keyless. I bought a new battery for keyless fab and that does not work either. I called Nissan, the service guy told me to try the fab again with old battery. I did. Nothing, so I tried new one again. I tried to hit the steering wheel to unlock the steering control. It worked once before but that was when I was able to open the door with the key fab. Now, I cannot do anything.
I am extremely frustrated with Nissan not recalling this problem as I can see that it is a issue for a lot of people. Hardly seems fair.
