Radio presets, clock settings and other settings can be changed and remembered while the vehicle is on. But the changes are almost always forgotten the next time the vehicle is started. Randomly (maybe 1 out of 300+ attempts) the settings will remember. This is especially problematic with the clock as Daylight Savings or Time Zone settings will not hold and as the clock gradually loses time it cannot be corrected because the correction will not hold.
Last volume and last station sometimes will stay remembered, but as I write this the current remembered station and volume was from over a month ago. We try updating everything each time we start the vehicle which means a minimum of about 20 times per week and typically as many as 30-50 times in a week. We have gone seasons with settings not storing.
We have tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting. We have tried changing batteries. We have had the fuses checked. We have tried setting while only in accessory mode. We have tried every order of steps with setting, turning on/off the car, changing from accessory mode to on or off, etc. Nothing works with any regularity.
The Nissan dealer shops refuse to assist or acknowledge a problem. They offer to charge a fee for a complete vehicle diagnostic to see if there is a problem (not to fix a problem if they see it). I have taken it to 2 dealers in Minnesota and one in Arizona -- all with the same answer, basically, it is not a Nissan product issue so there is nothing they can do.
Seeing others with this problem across model years and with different models has me set that we will never own a Nissan again and will actively campaign to others to avoid Nissan.

The radio will not remember preset stations and the clock will not remember the time. Everything must be reset after starting the vehicle. Once the vehicle is shut off, the radio and clock losses its setting.
I took the Murano to my local Nissan repair center here in Hudson Oaks, Texas but all they were interested in was charging me almost $200.00 to run a diagnostic check on it.
