I live in Kauai Hawaii and see many of the Nissans with the same issue. I was told by someone who works with cars all the time that the year that Nissan stopped making cars and came back in 2009 it was something they did to clear coat the cars, to use a cheaper clear coat that other years previous.
It is not fun to drive a car that looks like you don't take care of it and my car is like my other home that protects me and makes me feel good driving it. The parts of it that are not peeling look brand new.
I feel Nissan needs to own up to their wrong and recall that year car for sure. It would cost over 2,000 to get it all redone.
Not sure if this helps someone else but I needed to share this like many others have here. I will be sending this intention out into the universe to be heard, along with the others. Make this right.
