Murano V6

  • Automatic transmission

Seat belt light was coming on when I had a small person in the car. It has shut it self off. The dealer said it sometimes does that. They reset it.

Murano LE

  • Automatic transmission
  • 79,000 miles

I bought my Murano from Mossy Nissan in El Cajon, Ca brand new. At that time the salesman convinced me to buy the Premium Gold Preferred Extended warranty which would cover you head to toe for 100,000 miles. The problem occurred at roughly 79,000 miles, but as I am a very busy, I did not take it in until 96,000 miles. When the service tech called and said since the sensor is inside the passenger seat and the seat is not covered by the warranty, it would cost $3,000 to replace the passenger seat bottom. I told him no thanks, I would just not have a front passenger. However, he then went on to tell me that when one component of the airbag system does not function, it disables the entire airbag system. Great! Reassuring to know that if you are involved in a crash your airbags are not going to deploy. I just can not believe Nissan would not cover this in their "Gold Preferred Extended Warranty" Maybe they should change the name to "Gold Preferred Extended Warranty At Our Discretion"
