While driving, the driver's side visor fell down and would not go back up and stay in place. I contacted the Nissan dealer about this issue and was told it was my problem to replace it. I bought my 2012 Murano used in April 2020 with 74k miles on it. The visor issue happened within the first 30 days of owning the vehicle.

While driving down the highway I heard a loud bang and I then realized that my sunroof had shattered. Glass shards were sliding around on the sunroof cover. I contacted Nissan after seeing numerous reports and even a lawsuit about this, but they denied my claim forcing me to pay for the repairs of a fault that Nissan admitted to in the lawsuit.

Our car has 60000 miles. It has been well taken care of. The problem that we are having with this car is you can be driving down the road and all of a sudden the sun visor will drop and block your vision. I have been driving over 50 years and I have never had a problem like this in any other vehicle. The dealer said it is my problem and wants over $300 to fix it. When I looked up to see if there was a way to tighten the visor I found out it is a on going problem with many people. I believe it is a manufacture and a safety problem. Like I said you are driving down the road and all of a sudden your vision is taken away. Please get someone to take responsibility for this problem.

My moonroof suddenly exploded while driving on the garden state parkway. It does not appear to have been struck by an object. There were no overpasses or other vehicles nearby at the time. I was not injured as I was protected by the sunshade. The glass shattered and apparently dispersed onto the road.

Takata recall - drivers side visor does not say up - drops down an impairs vision - very dangerous!! after researching on the internet there are thousands of Nissan Murano owners that have experienced the same problem. Why is this not a recall? especially since it's such a huge safety hazard.

Common problem, with my car and I've noticed with other 2012 owners, is a floppy sun visor on driver's side which will not stay in place therefore obstructing vision. I paid to have visor replaced, but think that recall should be issued for this problem

The sunroof of my 2012 Nissan Murano exploded while driving approximately 65 mph on a highway. I was in an isolated pocket of traffic with no other vehicle nearby. I heard the explosion, then a loud sound of wind as the sunroof was gone and the wind blowing through the cover. Some glass came through the edges of the cover. I saw chunks of glass blowing behind me in the rearview mirror. Nissan tried to claim the damage was caused by a rock. The local dealership said it was evident there was an outward explosion of the class caused by pressure. You can see where the explosion pushed the broken glass outward.

I was traveling on the interstate at 75mph when I heard a loud boom. I looked around and discovered that the moonroof had shattered. It was a sunny day and there was no traffic around. The glass is broken around the edges of the glass. There is no sign of impact anywhere on the glass.
