The contact's girlfriend owns a 2013 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that the driver-??s side door would fail to unlock or lock from the outside. The dealer was called about the failure and informed the contact that the failure may be an electrical failure. The vehicle had yet to be inspected or diagnosed for the failure. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Murano. While driving, the instrument panel indicated that the liftgate was open. In addition, the contact stated that the doors locked and unlocked and the driver's side turn signal also operated independently on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently and was currently occurring frequently. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 76,800.

All four door electronic locks have failed within a 2 week period. When driving, the auto-lock feature no longer works nor does the park and auto-unlock feature. Extremely dangerous when youre looking to provide safety in dangerous neighborhoods or trying to escape a vehicle in an accident.

My 2013 Murano would not unlock. So I called aaa roadside service. I was able after 10 minutes to unlock the car cancel aaa. Drive directly to Nissan dealership they check the battery no problem.

"power steering recall" was repaired 2014, (2nd or 3rd owner) and re-broke May 2018 with vehicle mileage 60K miles, no warning lights came on, while I was on a dangerous downhill curve having no power steering at all and 15 minutes from home in a remote location, steering became very stiff. Car had to be towed for repairs and bad history with Nissan dealership-rhinelander wi so took to local Chevy dealer who fixed it again. Pretty sure it will need to be repaired within next 30K miles and rest of its lifetime..

Intermittent electrical ground failure with the "brake" and "battery" dash lights. Replaced the alternator and battery with no resolution. Ive been stranded twice on the side of the road and towed twice to the shop with no resolution. Ive called Nissan customer service and they are not aware of the problem despite several google search results describing the same problem.

2 safety issues: (a) passenger side seatbelt functioned fine when we got out of the car and upon return, we were unable to pull the belt out to fasten. It was locked within its 'roll-up' area. (B) blind-spot warning lights, tire air warning lights and etc. As seen in uploaded photo stay on in the color of orange. Also the brake light stays on in red after car is started. These functions do not work as well. No air needed in tires: Checked that. No issues with brakes: Checked that. Taking car to shop Friday.

I got this vehicle in April 2013 and complained 9 months later something wrong as I was driving down the street my husband and I smell something burning inside the truck. We begin to see smoke coming from the center console area between both seats. Neither my husband or I smoke, I contact Nissan concerning this matter many times and talk to [xxx]the service manager and was told to bring it in. Where they kept the vehicle and on returning it to us was told that the vehicle was fix. Times before this I have call about the same problem and few time after this. I have spoke to someone in the service department and on the sale floor. My three grandchildren be in this vehicle 75% of the time and it is a safety problem and as of this date 8 Jan 2015 it is in the shop for the same problem been there since the 5 Jan 2015. Talk to [xxx], general manage and [xxx], service manager. We can not ride this vehicle that seem to smoke all the time. So what are Nissan wait for a family of 6 to die in it. This vehicle is not 2 years old yet and before it was a year we had this problem. Been in the shop for the heater cuts off and on while driving without touching it, also back hatch problem that had to be replaced. To many problem to say this was a new vehicle. The car was put in reverse and there were no overhead street lamps. Nothing could be seen but a glare from the guide lines on the screen. You can't tell if you are backing up on grass or pavement. You can not tell if there is a mail box, sprinkler, dog or child behind your car at night. The camera works but is blurry during daylight hours.
